My vision

  • The Alaska Marine Highway is essential to our way of life in coastal Alaska. I will fight for stable funding and long term planning, so our communities stay connected. I’ll also work to secure investments for our ports, airstrips, rural roads, and broadband to keep commerce, families, and opportunity moving.

  • Alaska’s fisheries are the backbone of our economy, culture, and who we are. I will stand firm against outside interests that threaten them and ensure our waters work for Alaskans. I am committed to keeping our fisheries sustainable and protecting the livelihoods of Alaskan fishermen through science-based management, strong protections, and reducing burdensome permit fees.

  • It’s time we ensure our schools are fully funded, our teachers are paid competitively, and parents have a voice in their child’s education. Our next generation should have access to a quality education that prepares them for success, no matter what they choose to pursue.

  • I support a responsible budget that prioritizes essential services, reins in unnecessary spending, and ensures Alaska is getting a fair return from its natural resources. That means ending costly oil tax credits, closing loopholes, and making sure our budget is working for Alaskans.

  • Solving our district’s housing shortage starts with using good data and local input. Rising rents, limited inventory, and changing demographics are making it harder for families to stay in our communities. I will work with boroughs to cut red tape, make smarter use of land, and expand housing options so Alaskans, young families, workers, and seniors can all afford a place to call home.

  • I am committed to representing our way of life in coastal Alaska, which is why I pledge to refuse funding from PACs, outside organizations, and special interest groups. I’ll always put the needs of the people who live and work here first, while representing our district in Juneau.
